Week 1 – Getting Started
What is massage and why people take it Role of a therapist (helping relax, manage stress, reduce pain) Hygiene: clean clothes, hands, nails, fresh towels Setting up the room: table/bed, oils, music, lighting Talking with clients: ask about pain, pressure, health issues Practice: greeting a client, preparing a bed, draping with towels

Week 2 – Basic Touch and Swedish Massage
How to apply oil on the body Using hands to make smooth long strokes Working on the back, shoulders, arms, and legs Light pressure for relaxation Ending the session slowly and gently Practice: 30-minute Swedish massage routine

Week 3 – Deep Tissue Massage
When to use deep pressure (stiffness, knots, pain) How to press slowly with more strength Focusing on back, neck, and shoulders Avoiding too much pain or pressure Therapist body posture to avoid injury Practice: 30-minute deep tissue routine on partner

Week 5 – Thai Massage
Done without oil, on a mat or bed Introduction to assisted stretches Moving arms, legs, and back gently Light pressure on certain points Helps with flexibility and energy flow Practice: 45-minute Thai massage basic routine

Week 4 – Balinese Massage
Introduction to Balinese style (mix of relaxing and strong) Using palms, thumbs, and hands together Stretch + pressure movements Focus on full-body flow (not just one area) How to balance comfort and strength Practice: 45-minute Balinese massage

Week 6 – Putting It All Together
Choosing the right style (relaxation vs. pain relief vs. flexibility) How to combine Swedish, Deep Tissue, Balinese, and Thai in real sessions Client communication during the session (ask “is this pressure okay?”) Aftercare advice: rest, water, light meals, avoid heavy exercise How to work with different body types Final Practice: 60-minute full-body massage
